"Cryptocurrency, websites, trading, legality, control and certification - is it really a free-for-all?"

Who knows/has the address/place where you can confirm the legality of the website's operation? Times are what they are and unfortunately something appears today, promising golden mountains and tomorrow the website disappears. There are many websites/offers where you have to invest something and you can win/earn two or more times. It is known that everyone wants to make money, but in order for something to grow, you have to put something in. However, we deposit and supposedly earn, and as a result, the website disappears with the money. How can we protect ourselves from this? Who can confirm its legality?
