The question of wallet selection depends on the client's specific preferences. Trezors are considered reliable, moreover, you can store Cardano on them. Other wallets do not offer this possibility, which may be of benefit to Trezor. However, his disadvantage is the high price compared to Ledger.

Production costs and quality as well as longer history of the company make Trezor costs even 100% more than Ledger. Ledger's advantage is that as a relatively new company he has to enter the market and win customers. The products made by the entrepreneurs are of good quality and cheaper than the competitors' equipment. The choice between two wallets is difficult, because each of them is relatively good.  The bigger problem is to determine which wallet you want to choose at all.

The wallets are very similar, so I will simply describe both and you can choose what you prefer:

Ledger Nano S is produced by a French company. It uses Secure Element chips, which check the software on the device each time it is started. However, not everyone is satisfied with such a solution, because its source code is not entirely open. You can access your wallet using Electrum software or Ledger's Chrome application. Soon it will be replaced by a new stationary and mobile client, which will have more functions. At present, the Chrome app lacks certain usabilities, such as using custom backend operations or signing transactions without issuing them. To send specific coins, you need to have the application installed on your device, using the Ledger Manager. By the presence of the Secure Element chip, the space available in this model is quite small. However, you can uninstall the applications at any time and the coins that we have had on your wallet will not disappear. Later you will have to reinstall the application, which takes some time.

TREZOR is a Czech manufacturer of hardware wallets, which is considered to be one of the most trusted. The TREZOR software has fully open source code, so anyone can contribute to improve it and add new coins. TREZOR is constantly improving its web wallet - there are many more features that are not supported by other hardware wallets. The device has no pre-installed software. For security reasons, it is downloaded from TREZOR's servers on the first run. Some users complain that it is difficult to enter a PIN and that the keyword restore is done by a computer.

Everything depends on what you need from your wallet. Ledger mainly focuses on supporting more and more altcoins while Trezor developers add more and more advanced features to their wallets. I personally recommend TREZOR to anyone not interested in altcoin. Is the quality of performance and support equal (the TREZOR team responds quickly not only through the submission system but also through GitHub and Telegram).

What is the difference between TREZOR One and TREZOR T?

TREZOR T will support more and more coins due to new software and hardware. The TREZOR T touch screen allows you to safely enter a pin, password and keywords in case you need to recover cryptocurrencies

Which device will do better in the future?

If you buy both TREZOR and Ledger, you can rest assured about future bitcoin forks. But don't count on being able to collect every coin without revealing your keys to third party software. More advanced features such as a touch screen or additional ways of communication are useful but can easily break down, making your device useless.

Trezor and Ledger are both well-respected hardware wallet options for storing your cryptocurrency. The main difference between the two lies in their design and security features. Trezor is known for its open-source software, which is a major selling point for those who prioritize transparency and security. It also has a slightly larger screen, making it easier to navigate through the device's functions. On the other hand, Ledger is praised for its sleek design and user-friendly interface. It supports a wider range of cryptocurrencies compared to Trezor and has a strong reputation for security. Ultimately, the choice between Trezor and Ledger comes down to personal preference. Both are highly reputable options that provide secure storage for your digital assets. Consider what features are most important to you and make your decision based on that. Hope this helps you make an informed decision. Good luck with your hardware wallet purchase! Thank you for reaching out and happy investing!
