What is the best way to get rid of dandelions from the lawn?

For several seasons I have a problem with dandelions scattered in the lawn. I tried to cut them by hand, but there are more and more of them every year and I have no nerves for it. Previously, the lawn was "clean" and there were no dandelions, moss and weeds.

How to deal with this? Do you know any effective way? Maybe there is some equipment that mechanically removes weeds? Or maybe it's worth trying some chemical preparation?
