Recommend a book in the Bobiverse atmosphere.

As a parent of a teenage son (lvl. 12) I would like him to read more books. He's still a young reader, so he doesn't really have a refined taste, but you can already see that some items appeal to him and some not. The son already knows some literature, because he has already listened to a dozen or so audiobooks. However, as part of promoting reading skills, the prince recently received a printed book - the fourth volume of the Bobiversum series - instead of an audiobook. It took him 4 months, but in the end, curiosity won out and he finished the last 100 pages in one week.

So it's time for another gift, this time for Children's Day :)
Please recommend me a book in climates: sf but not so distant future.
The whole of Bobiversum loves it. The Hail Mary project was listened to three times. The Martian can quote in fragments.
On the other hand, Paradyzja and Limes Inferior were rejected - he listened to maybe an hour and said it was boring. The Expanse series will be too difficult for him - too much politics and philosophical considerations.
It's not sf, but he liked Przetaina Pilipika too. However, Eragon did not interest him. So I'd rather buy him something with sf as a safer choice. Also, I would like the book to be free of excessive violence and homosexual relationships. Some kisses or the fact that someone will shoot someone will be ok, but I would prefer not to serve them PEGI 18 books. . For this reason, I reject the Cycle of Depth.
