Am I at risk for coming to work without my employer's knowledge?

The situation is that for the past two months, me and my co-worker have had a toxic relationship with my boss. He's never been completely fine, but what he's doing now is all over the place. You can easily call it bullying. I wrote my resignation letter and was supposed to leave it on his desk at the end of work so I wouldn't have to ruin my mood for the weekend. Unfortunately, today he stayed until the end, and he usually left early. I decided to give it to him later and arrived at 4pm (I finish work at 2pm). When he was gone, I left him a notice on the desk (I have the keys). Can he accuse me of breaking any law?
