Is it profitable now (09.2022) to replace the graphics card in the PC?

The prices of graphics cards in 2021 were very high, among others due to the boom in cryptocurrencies. They've probably normalized a bit by now, but I don't have time to follow this market. Is it profitable to buy a new home PC card for gaming now (09.2022), or is it better to wait? If to buy, what model would be optimal? The PC in which a new card is needed is an i7-2600K, 16GB DDR3 RAM, 240GB SSD, so far it has worked with HD7870 2GB. Goal - for new games like Cyberpunk 2077 etc. to run in 1680x1050 resolution.
