How to become 1% better every day?

Have any of you wondered what it's like to be extraordinary in every way? It must be great. Or rather, it would be great. It would be, because nothing like that exists. There is no perfect and flawless person in every aspect. In most people, we find smaller or larger flaws. Some of these people see no problem with their flaws, but there are also those who really want change. And I believe that you are just such a person. Since you are reading this, it is clear to me that you are looking for some changes.

You have some problems to solve, maybe a few, or even a lot, but you don't know where to start. It's not surprising, because I have been in such a situation myself. It is normal for us humans to struggle with obstacles at various stages of life. So many problems piled up for me that it was unclear what to grab onto. How to solve a problem that has been with you your whole life? That's how I saw it. I wanted to change my life, but I lacked the starting power. I lacked something to stay on the path I had set for myself.

How many times have I started a new diet, fitness, woodworking, or other hobbies that interested me at the time? So many times I started and then stopped. And after years, I realized that this happened because I wanted to do something that only a person who is 180 degrees different from my old self could do. And such a person is someone who is disciplined with a clearly defined goal. A goal that may be a motivator to start some path, but will not be enough in the long run if there is a lack of discipline on that path. For me, it was always what I called EKG. I did something to the max and everything. Only good and healthy food, gym a few days a week, building a doghouse (despite lacking basic technical drawing skills - what drawing, I can do it from memory;)). And after a few weeks of intense fighting for my new life, I would throw everything away, returning to old habits with the awareness that I had wasted time unnecessarily, because it doesn't suit me. And so the EKG line would start again to fall once more.

And so days, months, and years passed, and I cemented my negative habits, which began to weigh on my body, and following that, my mind saw an increasingly worse version of myself in the mirror. But as is often the case, life goes on around us, and if we don't control it, it throws us into deep water. For me, that water was professional burnout, which led to a few worse choices. During those choices, it turned out that my next child would come into the world. So the thought that my children might have a problem with a father who can't cope with his health. Grandchildren will not have comfort from a grandfather, or may never even know him. This did not give me peace. Staring into the mirror, I wanted to see another person inside, the one I wanted to become. I know he was somewhere there. I slowly began to come to conclusions about how it happened that I am in the state I am now, that I don't know what to do. And I began to understand that these were bad choices I had been making for years. Small choices that seem insignificant in everyday life, yet led me here.

At this moment, I would like to present to you a vision of how to change all of this. Because there is no one way to do this, and each of these steps you must take personally. So as the title says, it all comes down to 1%. This percentage is of course theoretical, and it means that every day you need to do something that brings you closer to a better version of yourself. Each of us knows what we want from life. But not everyone knows which path to take. Therefore, at the beginning, choose one segment that you want to develop. And carefully nurture that segment. Don't worry that the rest of your life is falling apart. There will be time for the rest. After all, we are still alive. If you find your significant problem and start working on it every day, there is no way you won't feel changes after a few months. Simple math will even show that after a year of trying, you could be 3x better in one of the segments of life. And what if you work on different parts of it every day? Suddenly, after a year, we find ourselves in a completely new situation. Who can't add up to 1?

Now take on the topic every day and add brick by brick to build yourself anew. 1, 2, 3.... and so on. Systematically stick to it and start seeing a wonderful person in the mirror.
