Deficit of public finances for the year 2025
Roughly the budget for 2025:
900 billion in expenditures
600 billion in revenues
300 billion budget deficit, which is how much money is missing.
And now the conclusion: taxes will have to be raised - because even if someone lends us that much:
1. The servicing costs will be high.
2. Next year the deficit will be even bigger (because it will have to be repaid).
The current budget is of course a joint work of PiS and PO because it results from the inflated expenditures under PiS and the lack of limitation of these expenditures under PO. Moreover, a lot of these expenditures were supported by PO in votes: such as armaments and 800+.
We are falling into a debt spiral and it will not be easy to escape from it.
Conclusion: we need to maintain a high level of asset flexibility so that we can escape from the next, inevitable taxes as needed.
