Retirement age - why is there still a discussion about raising the retirement age?

And what about considering the idea of shortening the length of schooling by, for example, 3 years so that people would enter the job market at the age of 21-22 after completing their studies? Younger people need money to start the most, and at the same time they have the most energy and enthusiasm to work. In my opinion, studying for 8 + 4/5 + 5 years is definitely too much, and the current system is not even adapted to today's world - we learn a lot of unnecessary things.
