Wallet Metamask hacked, phished, or lost - should you abandon the wallet in such a situation?

Some time ago, a lot of tokens from one project saved on the BSC network disappeared from my Metamask. What's more, not all of them were stolen, and the rest of my other cryptos were not even touched - I had a few hundred dollars worth of various tokens spread across different networks. I can't figure out what I clicked on or which contract I interacted with. I don't know how to check the interaction history. Only on BSC scan I can see when the funds were transferred from Metamask to another address and then sold. Question - are the remaining funds in this wallet still at risk? In the wallet settings, I preemptively unchecked the related sites. What else can I do to increase security on this specific wallet? Are there any companies, methods, or tools that deal with recovering stolen funds at all? Moving small amounts mainly through the ETH network significantly depletes my portfolio due to high transaction fees.
