HAPPINESS-what it is and how often it can be felt.
How good it is to wake up in the morning with a sense that everything is fine, not worrying about anything, and falling asleep peacefully in the evening. This is what happiness can look like. Everyone wants to be happy, that's why we often wish for it on every occasion. So why is it sometimes so difficult to feel happiness or at least general satisfaction? There is no clear answer to this question or ready recipe, but there are certain factors that influence the level of perception. One of these factors is the genes we inherited from our ancestors. Another factor is the circumstances in which we live. If basic material needs are satisfied and everything else has only a slight and temporary impact on the level of happiness. The most important element influencing the feeling of happiness is our own activity and deliberate actions. Unlike the above-mentioned factors, which we have no control over or simply happen to us, here it is up to the individual to decide how they will behave or react to what happens in their life. To feel happiness more often, one must: 1. Strengthen the sense of self-worth regardless of what we receive from others. 2. Not dwell on past grievances but live in the here and now. 3. Be grateful for what one has. 4. Do things that bring value, not just success. 5. Learn from failures instead of dwelling on them. 6. Be guided by love, not negative emotions. 7. Not blame others for one's own life. If you want your life to be happy, you need to change your way of thinking. Psychological studies show the level of happiness as: - Genes responsible for 50%. - Circumstances that happen to us 10%. - Our own activity - 40%. By changing our way of thinking and acting, we can bring more happiness into our lives, which in turn leads to better health, life achievements, good social relations, and a longer life. How to experience happiness every day: - Lower your expectations and accept that things don't always go our way. - Do one small thing that will make you feel good. - Discover happiness in the little things and appreciate everything that happens along the way before celebrating a major success. "Happiness is the only thing that multiplies when you share it" - Albert Schweitzer. International Day of Happiness falls on March 20th and was established in 2012 by the United Nations General Assembly.
