11th July 2023 - 80th anniversary of the Wołyń massacre.

Soon we will celebrate the 80th anniversary (Tuesday - July 11th). I would like to emphasize that after 80 years from this event - for the majority of Poles, time has healed the wounds and I think it would be possible to forgive the situation of approximately 100,000 Poles savagely murdered by Ukrainians in such a national sense. It would be possible if not for a few details that are happening now: - the lack of possibility to bury the murdered - the glorification in Ukraine of the perpetrators and accomplices of the crime. Words of Mr. Jarosław Kaczyński turned out to be true about Ukraine not joining Europe with Bandera. Today, it is precisely from Mr. Kaczyński's environment that the message flows that Bandera was basically in prison at that time and had no influence on anything. https://www.polsatnews.pl/wiadomosc/2017-02-07/kaczynski-o-ukrainie-z-bandera-do-europy-nie-wejdziecie/ Similarly, any promises that the issue of exhumations would be important for the PiS government turned out to be empty. Quoting Prime Minister Morawiecki: "I will not rest until all the truth is revealed and each of these brutally murdered is commemorated." https://oko.press/pis-poucza-ukraincow-o-wolyniu-niech-podporzadkuja-sie-normom-z-naszego-kregu-cywilizacyjnego Articles about permission for exhumations turned out to be government fake news. The exhumations concerned one place and were not related to the Volhynian massacre. https://www.rp.pl/historia/art37398001-wladze-ukrainy-wydaly-zgode-na-ekshumacje-polskich-ofiar-upa The government can pretend that everything is fine, but it is not. The duty to bury members of one's family is a fundamental obligation in many cultures, particularly our Polish one. Well, now the most important thing is somehow to reach the elections. They didn't manage to do it during 8 years of rule. https://www.msn.com/pl-pl/wiadomosci/polska/mocne-s%C5%82owa-ksi%C4%99dza-po-s%C5%82owach-andrzeja-dudy-kolejna-haniebna-wypowied%C5%BA/ar-AA1dggAY I can turn a blind eye to many things because I know that governing is not an easy matter, but there are things that cannot be ignored. It is the behavior of the current government and the President regarding the Volhynian massacre. They have disgraced their positions. I will define this position as follows: "families will die out and the problem will disappear."
