To get started, choose one programming language you want to learn. There are many languages on the market, but if you are new to programming, it is worth choosing a language that is easy to learn. I find PYTHON to be one of the easier to learn.

Use tutorials and guides - The Internet is full of tutorials and guides for novice programmers. You can take advantage of free online courses or buy specialized books that describe the basics of programming in a simple and understandable way.

Practice regularly - Learning to code takes time and regularity. It is not enough to read a few guides and put the topic aside. It's a good idea to dedicate a few hours a day to learning and practicing your programming skills.

Practice, practice, practice – there is nothing better than practice. The more you write programs, the better your understanding of programming will become. Start with simple programs and then gradually increase the difficulty level.

Use open sources – many developers share their projects on open sources such as GitHub. You can use these sources to have fun creating your own programs, and to edit and modify existing projects.

Learning to program may seem difficult at first, but with the right approach and regularity, you can quickly learn the basics of programming and start writing your own programs. It is worth remembering that programming is a field that is constantly evolving, so it is worth keeping up to date with new trends and technologies.

Definitely the best to do it as soon as possible. For example, I have been programming since 1990, but I didn't pursue programming, instead I went towards the army, electronics and telecommunications. And even though I have completed one commercial program, a couple of community projects and have accumulated a lot of money, I am not really able to go through the path of a junior developer anymore - mainly due to my age (>40 years) and I can't really boast of experience in the field.
