The pomodoro technique was invented by Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s. The name comes from the tomato-shaped kitchen timer that Cirillo used to measure time. There are now many apps and websites that help you apply this method. I usually use Productivity Challenge Timer - quite specific and rigorous app :)
