Why do your back hurt? And what can you do about it.

Back pain can have many causes, such as:

  • weak abdominal muscles,
  • weak back muscles
  • weak gluteal muscles,
  • too tight back muscles (due to too weak elasticity of the tissues at the spine),
  • posture defects,
  • a problem with the spine (e.g. damage to the intervertebral disc).

Potential causes of back pain usually go in "pairs", for example, a posture defect such as an anterior pelvic tilt means high tension in the lower back and weaker (stretched) abdominal muscles.

One problem arises and creates from another.

But what am I doing wrong that my back hurts?

  • you have a sedentary work and lifestyle in general,
  • lack of physical activity,
  • bad habits - e.g. you incorrectly reach for things you want to pick up from the ground,
  • too strenuous training,
  • bad exercise technique.

What can I do with this?

Start practicing. Make friends with strengthening training to make your back, abs and buttocks stronger.

Complete this with stretching and rolling to reduce tension where necessary.
