ICDL/ECDL Why do you need it - List of modules - List of certificates

The ECDL certification has been in existence since 1997 and has undergone many changes and significant developments over the years. From being a European certification (ECDL stands for European Computer Driving Licence), it has evolved into a global certification as ICDL (International Computing Driving Licence or International Certification of Digital Literacy). Even the ECDL Foundation from Ireland, which is the global certifying body for ICDL/ECDL, has changed its name to ICDL Foundation.

ICDL/ECDL certificates have been issued in over 150 countries and exams can be taken in 41 languages, including Polish. The ECDL certificate is awarded in all countries always and everywhere under the same conditions. This means that to obtain it in Poland or other countries, the same knowledge, skills, and the need to pass the same exams are necessary (syllabi and exam tests approved by the ICDL Foundation are translated into different languages). Therefore, an ECDL certificate obtained in Poland is universally recognized worldwide. ICDL/ECDL is considered one of the best certifications for basic computer skills globally, as evidenced by numerous publications, reports, and references. Qualifications (certifications) ICDL/ECDL can be found in many national qualification frameworks in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
