First practical task to start managing yourself in time
Since the group is supposed to help us organize our time, every day I will add an exercise for all group members, and once a week there will be another guide available for purchase. For the time being, each guide will be at a fixed price of 1 USD.
Here's a simple exercise that everyone can do ;)
Exercise: "Must" and "Want" List
Preparation:
Prepare two sheets of paper or create two text documents on your computer.
Creating lists:
On one sheet, write down all the tasks and responsibilities that you must perform (e.g. related to work, home, health). Name this sheet "Must".
On the other sheet, write down activities that you would like to do, but are not absolutely necessary (e.g. hobbies, social gatherings, personal projects). Name this sheet "Want".
Analysis and prioritization:
Look at the lists and consider which tasks are the most important and urgent. Mark them as top priorities.
Try to identify which tasks from the "Want" list you can incorporate into your daily or weekly plan to ensure a balance between responsibilities and pleasures.
Planning:
Use a calendar or planner to schedule when you will perform specific tasks from both lists. Reserve specific blocks of time to complete tasks from the "Must" list, and plan blocks of time to complete tasks from the "Want" list during quieter moments of the week.
Reflection and adjustment:
At the end of the week, review how you did in completing tasks from both lists.
Think about what you could have done better and how you can improve your planning in the coming week.
This exercise will not only help you better manage your time, but also achieve greater satisfaction in life, as you begin to consciously balance between responsibilities and personal desires. Regular practice of this method can lead to significant improvements in both productivity and overall sense of happiness. It may sound like a cult instruction, but working on yourself is never easy.
Our biggest enemy in "time management" is ourselves and our habits.
Soon I will introduce you to a great material about time eaters ;):)
