Finfluencers lie [March 28th Day Without Lies]

March 28 is the Day Without Lies.

A worldwide celebration of NOT LYING.

Which means telling the truth. Maybe not necessarily the whole truth, straight to the point.. Or maybe so.

For example, the truth that so-called finfluencers lie.

The two most vicious lies?

  1. "Keep a budget"
According to them, "budget" means meticulous recording of expenses. Categorizing them. Collecting receipts...
    Oh, sure.
Try to keep a budget for a small company in this way, even for a quarter :D
No, writing down spent money is not keeping a budget.

  2. "Don't spend on unnecessary things"
Sounds great? Logically maybe? Pinch yourself... Do you feel something? That's right, you're alive. You're a human, not AI.
So this rule doesn't apply to you.
Did you know that even in a monastery, where people live, work, and take vows of poverty (!), they receive pocket money for their own expenses?
    For personal use.
Monasteries are not startups. They have established procedures and formats of activity. They know that just taking care of NEEDS is not enough.

And you and your vows? Did you vow poverty?

Or maybe you made a promise to yourself, permission to live and enjoy it?
