Today I recommend an infographic showing storks' flight routes from Africa to Europe.
The map gives an idea of the distances that our winged friends cover many times.
Looking at the flight route of "Polish" storks, one can imagine the ancestors of homo sapiens. They had to wonder what the lands to which storks systematically fly look like. The sight of white birds flying north may have motivated the first humans to venture beyond the African continent...
