Does ether have a chance to beat Bitcoin in the coming years?

It depends on what you mean by "beat". Will it get a higher price than bitcoin? Very doubtful, because the number of coins in circulation has the greatest influence on the price increase. In the case of bitcoin, we have 21 million (minus the few million that were irretrievably lost), and ether currently has over 119,600,000 pieces, so the difference is very big. On the other hand, it is real that some time in the market capitalization there will be a change of places on the podium. For example, at this point in time, the ethereum market cap is $ 375,013,055,840, and bitcoin is $ 838,180,548,473. This means that theoretically it would be enough to double the price of Ether (assuming that the bitcoin price does not change during this time, which is of course not very realistic) for the king to be defeated and Ether jump to 1st place. I do not rule out that it will happen someday (at least for a while), but first the network needs to be improved. If the Vitalik team succeeds in introducing ethereum 2.0, it will again attract the attention of many investors and the price will increase. The opposite is true if they fail, as doing so will cause network performance and disappointment in the community. One thing is for sure - ethereum is much more useful than bitcoin at the moment, because so many projects are based on this network, and this works to its advantage.

I think it may have more dynamic increases, because according to the market is more undervalued.
