If you are looking for a car that is easy to handle, reliable, and inexpensive to maintain, here are a few models that may work:

I have had several cars, but I have never been as satisfied as I am now with the Hyundai I10. I have had it for 3 years (I bought it used - another 3 years) and nothing is breaking down, I only change the oil, add gasoline, and it's good. For me, it's better than Opel, Fiat, Peugeot, Chevrolet.

From the cars I have had enough contact with to recommend based on my own experience, I recommend the Toyota Yaris II from the small city cars, and the Ford Mondeo MK4 from the large station wagons. Both are economical, low-maintenance, and pleasant to drive.

Before buying your own, make sure if you might have prospects for obtaining one?

Fast, cheap, and durable. So Toyota, or Lexus, or Mercedes from older years, also 20 years old, because back then they made them durable, and now it's all about optimization and everything is just aluminum cans. You can also consider a post-rally WRC, such cars have body reinforcements making them practically indestructible during rollovers. If I had access, I wouldn't risk buying 'normal cars' but rather one that is reinforced. I hope I helped.
