On weekends, with bad weather, it seems okay to have a drink while watching a movie, but then addictions come, and there comes a moment when you think 'ah, a 4-pack for the evening is nothing'."

"In my opinion, it seems that more Poles are addicted to alcohol than to cigarettes. An example from a neighborhood store, where most people only bought alcohol, can be one of the indicators of this tendency. Of course, it is worth remembering that this is just one of many places where such behavior can be observed. Regardless of the numbers, fighting addiction is an important social problem. However, we should not forget about individual rights and the need to respect their freedom of choice. Imposing bans from above can generate controversy and is not always an effective solution. It is important to educate society about the harmfulness of addictive substances and provide support to those addicted so that they can seek treatment and recover. This is a task that requires the collaboration of various institutions such as healthcare service, law enforcement agencies, public education, and non-governmental organizations. The government can play an important role in coordinating these efforts and creating appropriate preventative and treatment programs. However, social engagement and awareness of every individual regarding the negative consequences of addiction are incredibly important in achieving positive changes in our society."
