From my point of view, commercial banks are concerned that crypto can replace most banking services. People who use crypto on a daily basis do not really need a bank because you can pay with crypto cards anywhere for most needed goods . At the moment, people operating in the crypto ecosystem only need a bank to pay bills. Crypto gives you much cheaper money transfers by reducing middlemen. Also the emerging new Defi system offers much greater returns for borrowing capital than a regular bank. If we will ever achieve full adoption of crypto, banks could become useless.

Commercial banks before anything else are afraid that cryptocurrencies will become competition for them. Moreover, central banks are creating their own government digital currencies called CBDCs.

The worst thing for them is that crypto holders are their own bank and are not dependent on intermediaries.

The fact that banks are not fond of Bitcoin has been known for a long time. And it is hardly surprising!

On the one hand Bitcoin is a competition for banks, because it allows the transfer of value without intermediaries, and on the other hand it is the cause of capital flight from the banking system (e.g. bank deposits). Investing in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies gives much better opportunities to earn and higher rates of return.

Investing in cryptocurrencies is not against banking laws. In spite of this, sometimes you can hear news that someone's card/account was blocked just because he made a transfer of funds from a cryptocurrency exchange to his bank account or wanted to buy cryptocurrency using a payment card.

I think banks are not crypto-friendly because they see it as a threat to their traditional banking system. They are concerned about the use of cryptocurrencies for illegal activities and money laundering. They are also worried about the volatility and lack of regulation in the crypto market. However, I believe that banks should adapt to the changing times and embrace cryptocurrencies as a new form of digital currency. By doing so, they can attract more customers and stay competitive in the financial industry.
