Not everyone will choose the same type of investment, because we differ in our approach to this topic and financial possibilities. Therefore, the answer to this question depends on several factors:
- whether you want to invest short, medium or long term,
- how much money do you have available,
- do you care about the simplest product, or are you willing to devote more time and attention to your investment.
Depending on the answers given, we have different options. Below I will list a few that I have personally tried, but they are certainly not exhaustive.
1. A deposit in a bank - currently they have higher interest rates than a year ago, but it is almost impossible for them to provide interest at such a level as to cover the increase in inflation. After all, it's probably the only safe option for less affluent people who need to do something with their money, but at the same time are unable to freeze it for several years in anticipation of profits from the sale of land or other illiquid asset. In addition, they do not require our attention, apart from the moment of setting up and closing at a fixed time, and I estimate the security level of funds at 99%. (because, in my opinion, there are no 100% sure investments)
2. Treasury bonds indexed to inflation - they are considered a very safe type of investment, and if inflation increases, there is a chance that we will at least break even. The downside is a rather long term (4 or 6 years), but on the other hand, they can be broken off earlier, incurring a small fee.
3. Silver or gold bullion coins - they should be treated as a way to store value over time and as a hedge in the event of a huge crisis, because in this case, their price will most likely increase significantly. They can be sold or exchanged for some goods quite easily, they are small, so they are easy to hide. In addition, precious metals have been synonymous with value and security for centuries.
4. Investment fund units - you can choose safe ones, investing in bonds, or slightly more risky. The choice is very wide. However, you need to pay attention to the fees that are associated with the purchase of units or management, so that they are as low as possible.
5. Buying Bitcoin - I understand you took a loss on them, but as long as you don't sell your BTC, you haven't really lost. In the long term, Bitcoin has always surpassed previous ATHs and was profitable. For this reason, it is considered the most secure cryptocurrency. Some people invest a certain amount of money on a regular basis every month, so they average the entry price.
6. Foreign currencies, e.g. euro, dollar or Swiss franc - you have to bear in mind that recently their prices in relation to the zloty have been very high, so it's better to wait until they drop.
7. Purchase of real estate - a piece of land in a good location, garages or a small apartment store the value of money in the long term, but require knowledge of the industry and the law. It is easy to make a mistake and overpay when buying or not to notice problematic entries in the land and mortgage register. This type of investment is designed for people with a thicker portfolio.
8. Good dividend companies - their price can fluctuate significantly depending on the stock market cycle, but the most important advantage in this case is the regular dividend payment. Of course, you can sell them over time when the price is attractive. However, investing in companies involves the need to gain some knowledge about the stock market and follow the news about the company in order to withdraw in time in case of problems inside the company.
9. Real estate crowdfunding - purchase of a part of a commercial project related to the construction of real estate. In contrast to the independent purchase of a house or flat, the entry threshold for such a project is low and may start from as little as several hundred zlotys. Thanks to this, we can become a co-owner of many facilities and draw profits from various sources.
As you can see, the choice of possibilities is quite large. I advise diversification and further education, thanks to which it will be much easier for you to make the right choice over time.

There is no such thing as the best investment. In my opinion, there are investments with more or less risk. The basic rule that I think you broke is not to invest everything in one place. The second rule is to invest as much as you can afford to lose.

I always diversify my investment portfolio. If I had PLN 100,000 right now, I would divide my portfolio as follows:

I would invest PLN 25,000 in gold

I would put PLN 50,000 in 5 different cryptocurrencies (PLN 10,000 each), after thorough research

I would leave PLN 25,000 as a financial cushion

The best ways to invest money are diversifying your investment portfolio and regularly saving and investing for the long term perspective. You can consider investing in various financial instruments, such as stocks, bonds, commodities, or real estate. It is also worth educating yourself about investing and using market analysis to make informed investment decisions. When it comes to investing in cryptocurrencies, it is worth remembering that the market is very volatile and you can make a lot of money in a short time, but also lose part or all of your investment. Therefore, it is necessary to approach this type of investment cautiously and with a healthy dose of common sense. Personally, I prefer investing in broadly understood investment funds and stocks of solid companies that have growth potential in the future. It is also important to regularly monitor your investment portfolio and adjust it to changing market conditions. As for your case, I can recommend consulting with a financial advisor who will help assess the situation and propose appropriate solutions. It is always worth learning from mistakes and not giving up after the first failure. Good luck!
