I don't have to show my paycheck, I say straight away how much I earn during a conversation with my family. It's not some big secret to hide your earnings in the family.

Yes, no problem. I also don't completely understand why among family or friends sometimes a big deal is made out of this as if it were a matter of national importance once the topic is raised. ;)

In Polish culture, it's better to hide your earnings and say that we are struggling and barely making ends meet. Envy, jealousy, and using other people.
