A Cyprus hospital will store the results of COVID-19 tests on a blockchain

VeChain announced on Twitter on June 20 that its blockchain-based medical data management platform developed with I-Dante has now been launched. It will store the results of COVID-19 tests on the blockchain network. The platform, called E-NewHealthLife, has been implemented at the Mediterranean Hospital in the Republic of Cyprus.

Cypriot citizens who travel to the hospital's COVID-19 laboratory for real-time diagnosis and antibody testing will have their medical and test records saved on a blockchain. This documentation will be encrypted, encoded and sent to VeChainThor Blockchain. The results will also be available in the E-HCert app. The adoption of E-HCert, the company said, reduces the cost of data storage and sharing.
