How to learn to invest?

Do you have any ways to effectively learn to invest? Do you think paid online courses can help me learn or is it just a drink of water? Maybe you can recommend some books? If all of this comes off, is there such a thing as investing tutoring? If so, what is the cost of such lessons. Thanks.
