How to connect Ledger Nano X to Metamask??

I just figured out how to solve the issue in my case (ledger nano x, Windows 10, metamask on brave). What you need to do is plug your ledger nano x into the computer then click the metamask icon in your browser, then click the account selector circle at the upper right corner. Click connect hardware wallet. You will see it will load up a browser page, during this time you should unlock your nano with the pin.After open your ethereum app on the nano, go to settings, and the first thing you see at that point will be the toggle for allowing or disallowing contract data.You must ALLOW it. And then you can do whatever transaction you want to do. This time your ledger should show the transaction and you can accept it.

I will describe to you the entire process of connecting your hardware wallet in a few steps

1. Step one is to launch the Metamask wallet. To do this, we find the fox icon in our browser's toolbar and click it. This will launch our wallet:
2. We enter our security password  and then click the LOG IN button .
3. We are logged into the wallet. To add a hardware wallet we click on the avatar of our account located in the upper right log in.
4. A menu will appear from which we can choose Connect Hardware Wallet. 
5. On the next screen we can choose what kind of hardware wallet we have and what we want to connect. In your case it will be Ledger. 
6. Before you choose it and click Connect, connect your hardware wallet to the computer. Activate it by entering your security PIN and enable the Ethereum application. 
7. With the hardware wallet connected and the Ethereum application active, click Connect.
8. And select Legacy (MEW/MYcrypto)
9. Then the list already displays my desired account. I select it and click the Unlock button. 
10. On the screen we see the status of our hardware wallet. On the left side there is information about the tokens on the Ledger.
